Happy 80th Birthday, Jerrie Barber, and Happy 10th Anniversary New Shepherds Orientation and Seasoned Shepherds Revitalization Blog

The first post in this blog was on January 6, 2015. I use this date as the day I started liking to write. I was approaching seventy years old and had been preaching for more than fifty years. I wrote bulletin articles each week and a weekly newspaper article when I lived in Dalton, Georgia. Each Wednesday afternoon, by 5:00 p.m., I had something ready for the local paper.

However, I read years ago that you should do something each week that you don’t want to do but is good for you to do. This was my writing project. I enjoyed having written, but I didn’t enjoy the writing.

When I started this blog and the Between Preachers blog a year later, I began to enjoy both the process and the product. Much of that enjoyment came from those who commented and encouraged me.

I’m asking for an anniversary and birthday present on the tenth anniversary of this blog, New Shepherds Orientation, and my eightieth birthday March 15.
